Buffalo Terrastation NAS

Connection / Setup

  1. Create an account and log in to DiskSpace
  2. Click I'm ready to set up my storage
  3. Enter Bucket Name following the instructions
  4. Click Create Bucket and wait for it to be generated
  5. Find your Endpoint URL, Access Key, and Secret Key in the S3 Client Configuration section for use below

Connect Buffalo Terrastation NAS to DiskSpace.sh

DiskSpace.sh is a fully S3-compatible storage service. Follow the steps below to configure your Buffalo Terrastation NAS for secure connectivity.

Connection Steps
  1. Log in to your Buffalo Terrastation NAS web interface as administrator.
  2. Navigate to Backup > Cloud Storage or S3 Compatible Storage section.
  3. Click Add Storage or New Connection.
  4. Fill in the connection details as shown below.
  5. Save and test the connection.
Required Credentials
Use this exact endpoint URL.
Can be left empty or set to us-east-1.
Important: Path-Style Requests Required

Buffalo Terrastation must be configured to use Path Style URLs. Virtual-hosted style is not supported.

https://s3.diskspace.sh/bucket-name/key

Troubleshooting Tips
  • • Ensure "Use Path Style" or "Force Path Style" is enabled in the NAS settings.
  • • Verify your Access Key and Secret Key are copied correctly (no extra spaces).
  • • Test connectivity using the built-in "Test Connection" button.
  • • If connection fails, try setting Region to us-east-1 explicitly.
  • • Check firewall rules allow outbound HTTPS traffic on port 443.
Note: DiskSpace.sh uses path-style addressing. Do not enable virtual-hosted style or custom hostname resolution.
