Connecting SyncBackPro to DiskSpace.sh (S3-compatible storage)
DiskSpace.sh is fully S3 API compatible and requires path-style requests. Follow the steps below to configure SyncBackPro.
Connection Steps:
- Open SyncBackPro and create a new backup or sync profile.
- Select Cloud as the destination type and choose Amazon S3 (or S3 Compatible).
- In the S3 settings dialog, enter the following credentials and configuration:
Full endpoint provided by DiskSpace.sh
Can be left empty or set to us-east-1
Important: Path-Style Requests Required
DiskSpace.sh requires path-style URLs (not virtual-hosted style). SyncBackPro must be configured to use path-style addressing.
Example Configuration:
Endpoint: https://s3.diskspace.sh
Bucket Name: your-bucket-name
Path Style: Enabled
Region: us-east-1 (or blank)
Troubleshooting Tips:
- • Ensure "Use path-style requests" or "Force path style" is enabled in SyncBackPro's advanced S3 options.
- • Do not include the bucket name in the Endpoint URL.
- • If connection fails, verify your Access Key and Secret Key are correct.
- • Test the connection using the built-in "Test" button in SyncBackPro.
- • For SSL/TLS errors, ensure your SyncBackPro version supports modern TLS protocols.
Once configured, you can use your DiskSpace.sh bucket like any other S3 storage. All data is transferred securely over HTTPS.
